PART XII. AMENDMENT, SUSPENSION, AND INTERPRETATION OF RULES

Rule 57. Rules: Amendment

The Rules of the House shall not be altered unless the
members of the House have received the 24-hour notice of
the proposed change. The 24-hour period shall commence
with the placement of a printed copy of the proposed
amendment upon the desk of each member. Changes in the
Rules shall be taken up as a special order. Any change in
the Rules of the House shall require the approval of
majority of the members to which the House is entitled.


Rule 58. Rules: Suspension

The Rules of the House may be suspended by the approval of
majority of the members to which the House is entitled.


Rule 59. Parliamentary Practice

The most recent rules of parliamentary practice as set
forth in Mason's Manual of Legislative Procedure shall
govern the House, where not inconsistent with these Rules.
